Architectural Designer

EURO Architectural Components, a division of Richelieu Hardware, is looking for a versatile and detail-focused Designer to join our R&D team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of a broad range of architectural hardware products, including railing systems, glazing components, and façade accessories, by producing technical drawings, specifications, and technical support.

 

This role is ideal for an architectural designer with hands-on glazing details.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including installation details, specifications, and production instructions.
  • Analyze existing products and drawings to identify design improvements, material optimizations, or documentation updates.
  • Support the sales and marketing teams with technical support.
  • Perform basic quality control evaluations on received products, reviewing accuracy, finish, and compliance with drawings/specs.

Requirements:

  • A technical degree (diploma) and experience in architecture.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is necessary; Revit is important.
  • A strong understanding of both technical detailing and practical installation is essential.
  • A proactive, communicative, and relationship-driven mindset is essential.
  • Industry-specific product experience in building materials is highly advantageous.
  • Skilled in the use of computers, including MS Office.
  • Excellent creativity, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Preferred (but not required):

  • Knowledge of building codes section 9.8.
  • Ability to produce or assist with marketing visuals, such as rendering and animation.
  • Experience in customer service or sales.
  • Strong communication skills.
